Dr Shelley – a catalyst for positive change
Motivation, Inspiration, Action
Webster’s dictionary ((https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/catalyst) defines a catalyst as ‘an agent that provokes or speeds significant change or action.’
“Catalyst leaders are high-energy, supportive, forward-thinking mentors who spark action in the people around them. You know who I’m talking about because you’ve seen it in action. Some people are born inspirational. They instinctively know how to motivate. They effortlessly move people to action.”
I definitely encourage people to try new things! Provide a safe space to explore and inspire action!!!
My work as a sexologist is very different and varied. I am not a traditional therapist by any means. My favorite way to work with people is doing something fun and without them even really knowing, infusing insight and joy whilst empowering them to be their best selves. I love creating experiences people never forget that helps them see the wonder of this existence and how incredible it is to be here in these bodies on this wonderful planet.
Having a lifetime of adventures traveling the world and over 20 years of being in this field I bring a wealth of experience to what I do. I love being a travel guide for people who want to explore parts unknown, like the South of France, the Swiss Alps, Jamaica, on a cruise…
One of my favorite things to do is organize a sexy photoshoot. I feel it is important to love oneself first and foremost. To appreciate whatever package we have embodied into this lifetime. Be it short, tall, large, petite… whether you love your body or not. A sexy photoshoot with a great photographer who can capture your uniqueness and help you feel good about yourself is invaluable! To be the sexy model getting the photoshoot done is very empowering. And then to see what the photographer sees – a sexy, gorgeous you – is fabulous for self-confidence and self-love.
We all have something about ourselves we don’t like. Be it skinny arms, a double chin, belly fat, a big ass… but when working with a professional photographer they see beyond the little insecurities and enhance what is beautiful and unique about each person. That is the core of what I bring to the table in my work as a sexologist. I do not focus on the negative or what needs to be fixed but rather on what you have and how to appreciate it, enhance your innate qualities, accept who you are, love who you are and be fully your most amazing self.
I feel it is important to walk the talk. I live what I speak, love myself, appreciate myself and enjoy my body and this existence to its maximum potential.
So, find a photographer you feel comfortable with that you trust, or ask me for a referral… I love working with female photographers… they make me feel super comfortable and have a personal insight into our securities as females. But I have also worked with amazing male photographers too. Each photographer has their own way of capturing the moment and the qualities of what they see in their lenses and sharing that with their trusting subjects. It is a massive responsibility, being a photographer, and as I shared with my most recent new photographer, “Be Bold. Take Risks. Live Life Freely. Recognize the Beauty that Surrounds You. Lead by Example. Express Gratitude. Dance the Night Away. Skip down the Street. Be Your Best Self.” A quote on the inside of jacket I bought when skiing up at one of my favorite mountains just before covid hit, Mammoth Mountain.
