A powerful day for new beginnings and manifesting! A great way to start the New Year! Take some alone time and focus on what you would like to manifest in your life – physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually – and create a plan of action. Write it down!
Also New Year’s Eve was also a power house date 123123 (Dec 31, 2023 – 12.31.23). A rare occurrence, the last time this happened was in 1923!
As I started writing this on 1.11, I had to take a moment to reflect, myself, on my intentions for 2024 and take some alone time to really look inside and see/listen to what it is I wish to manifest in my own life. It’s important to walk the talk, listen to what we say to others and implement suggestions we make for ourselves.
My intention for 2024 is to focus on my own health and wellness and make some life changes/choices that benefit me personally. As well as “world peace” and wishing everyone “health and happiness” it has always been a premise of mine that we cannot help others until we help ourselves. We cannot share love until we have filled our own cup of love up first.
One of my qualities is that I am a very high energy, productive, active, happy, full-on, person in everything I do. Which has its benefits – I recently attended the Vintage Auto Racing Association’s awards ceremony and received an award for Class Champion 2021 (in my Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite), Class Champion 2022 (in my newly built Fiat 124 Spider), and 2nd place certificate in 2023 in my Class. Not bad for a chick! In a mostly male dominated racing world! I felt proud to stand up there amidst all the lads, representing! But as my body told me this week, sometimes I am a bit too full-on, burning the candle at both ends, as the saying goes.
I had a super busy Christmas/New Years and then hit the ground running the first week of 2024 with a lot of work and social events. And my body told me! “Hey! I know you have lots of energy and can fit a lot in to the 24 hours of each day, but you need to also take time for you… slow down occasionally, smell the roses!”
That is definitely a recurring pattern of mine. I go, go, go, until I burn out and have to take time off to recuperate. Reflecting yesterday… at first I was a little angry at myself for feeling worn out and my body having to show me. But then I looked more deeply at what my body was trying to tell me and realized I have not been listening to my body and so my body had to show me physically that it needed some love and attention.
Health issues, no matter how big or small, are gifts. They are red flags, reminders, that we need to make a change, either in our stress levels, diet, sleep quotient, time out, self care…
Once I shifted my focus to giving thanks to my body for the heads up, rather than being pissed off at it, I truly was able to settle in and see/feel/listen to the messages from my physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. We are so much more than just our physical but the physical body is what we experience this life through and it is incredibly intelligent! What an amazing design! Everything is there for a reason. Everything within us needs our attention, needs to be nourished and loved. I recently attended the Bodies Exhibit here in Las Vegas and was reminded of the intricacies of these human bodies. If you haven’t been yet, I highly recommend it.
If something in the body is not functioning at optimal level or is in pain, discomfort, it is important to look at what is causing that dis-ease, that dis-comfort and listen to your body’s innate wisdom and implement lifestyle changes that will benefit your body, the heart and soul.
Some physical issues can be helped with proper nutrition, a visit to a chiropractor, more stretching, exercise, perhaps even operations or other medical/alternative health procedures, like stem cell therapy, bio-identical hormone treatment, infrared/cryotherapy.
Other physical issues can be connected to an undealt-with emotional situation, or stress from work/relationships. This too needs to be addressed. Going deeper into the physical can connect us to our emotional body. Healing the emotional body can directly help heal the physical and mental body too.
We are also energetic/spiritual beings, having this wonderful earthly experience. Let us never forget that! I was blessed to have visited the LA Science Museum recently and went to the Imax Deep Sky movie that totally shifted my focus from this earth to beyond. Spectacular! We are truly connected to all that is and once we realize we are not just physical beings but also spiritual/energetic beings then that helps shift the perspective to a greater whole and our connection to the bigger picture. When we look at ourselves from outside and see how small we are in connection to the universe and galaxies within which we live, we realize we are such a small part but at the same time an intricate and important part of life and the more we live our own lives to our greatest potential the more we contribute to the greater whole. It is also important to take time to reflect on what is our greater purpose. Why are we here? How can we make this world a better place? What can we do to contribute to making our own lives and the lives of others better?
My intention for 2024 is to take more time for myself on a regular basis, nourish my body, heart and soul on a deeper level. I start my day with water, minerals, vitamins, an infrared sauna, hot bath, daily rituals to balance and harmonize my electrical system, my body, and my energetic being. I do intermittent fasting, waiting until around noon to have my first protein meal. I endeavor to get outside and go for a walk, breathe the fresh air, connect with myself and my close girlfriend who is an incredible channel and being of light and inspiration. I have given up some old patterns/habits (ate too many carbs over the holiday season) and am striving to reduce my sugar intake (sidenote: love chocolate and whiskey), and have set my intention to take time out for me when I get too much on my plate and go, go, go.
What do you want to manifest for yourself this year? Take some time to reflect… on your physical body and what it needs, on your emotional body and how you can feed that too, your mental/mind – what nourishes you there, and also your spiritual/energetic self and what you can do to improve your well-being on that level too. Write down your intentions. Create an action plan. Fill your own cup. Fill your inner being with love and gratitude. Then you can share that with the world and make the world a better place.
